Dr. Ahn is Assistant Professor of Political Science at Florida State University and Assistant Professor of Public Administration at Korea University (Ph.D., Indiana University 2001). His current research focuses on experimental investigation of endogenous processes in the context of collective action and voting. He is particularly interested in how rules and institutions affect the outcomes in collective action. The questions include 1) how different group formation rules affect the group size and individual behavior in collective action (with Mark Isaac and Tim Salmon), 2) how networks and cooperation co-evolve as a function of information mechanisms when people can choose their transaction partners (John Scholz and Justin Esarey), 3) how information cost and voter positions affect communication patterns among voters in elections (with Bob Huckfeldt and John Ryan).
